The golfer María Fernanda Torres continues to fill Puerto Rico with joy and has already signed her pass to the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020 , becoming the athlete number 35 who will participate in the contest for the Puerto Rican nation.
But the story does not end there, because Torres is the first golfer to represent the Caribbean country in the discipline in an Olympics.
The athlete will be confirmed this Tuesday as one of the 60 golfers who will participate in the discipline , by occupying the position 45 of the Olympic ranking, indicated TUDN .
“ For me it is an immense pride to always be available to Puerto Rico. Going through the experience of carrying my flag from Veracruz 2014 and now the Olympic qualification is a dream come true. It is a unique opportunity that I want enjoy it to the fullest, ”Torres said in an interview with the EFE agency.
