A 3-year-old boy died Saturday morning at accidentally firing a pistol that was left within reach and that was not properly secured in a house of Fresno , California.
shot in the head and was pronounced dead upon arriving at a community clinic around 9 am. The boy’s parents were present in the house when the tragedy happened in an apartment complex located in Clinton and Crystal , in downtown Fresno.
Fresno Police said the gun is registered, but is investigating whether there was negligence in the case regarding the way to store the weapon , reported ABC 30 . He also said that the pistol was apparently not on the safety.
“If you have a firearm in your home, we have insurance for you… We will be happy to provide you with one. All they have to do is call us, ”said Fresno Police Capt. Burke Farrah.
