This Thursday the US currency is trading against the Mexican peso at 20. 19 units of pesos per dollar . A strengthening of the dollar is observed, for the fifth consecutive day.
At the bank window, for the purchase, the green currency is quoted at 19. 96 units of pesos, while for sale the price is 19. 43 pesos per dollar.
The strengthening of the dollar is a consequence of the monetary policy announcements of the Federal Reserve, specifically the upward adjustments in expectations for economic growth. In addition, the Fed decided to keep interest rates intact in a range that goes between 0% and 0. 25% and left no indication that it plans to increase it until the end of 2023.
In the foreign exchange market there is a general strengthening or the US dollar, with the weighted index showing an advance of 0. 53% and gaining ground for the fifth consecutive session, in which it accumulates an increase of 2. 04%.
