Kia Introduces All-New 2022 Telluride With New Tech Options And Small Design Improvements

The Telluride SUV, one of Kia’s best sellers, returns with some tweaks to its design and several new technology and safety updates

Created in 2019 for model year 2020, the Telluride quickly became one of the preferred models by Kia fans . This SUV —which was actually a concept car in its beginnings— it is the largest vehicle that the brand has introduced in the United States and, in addition, it has received several awards, such as the Auto Award of the Year at the Wolrd Car Awards 2020, merit that this year went to the Volkswagen ID.4, a Fully electric SUV that has been widely celebrated for being the only one with this technology to cross Baja California, during the NORRA Mexican rally 1000 held in April.

The new Kia Telluride is available with a V6 GDI Lambda engine that generates 291 horsepower and a fuel economy verified by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of 26, 20 Y 23 mpg, in the city , on the road and in both environments combined, respectively. These numbers correspond to the front-wheel drive version, but improve on the all-wheel drive version, which offers 19, 24 Y 21 mpg in the same scenarios.

Between its safety options, associated with the Kia Drive Wise assisted driving system, highlight the frontal collision avoidance assistant or blind spot, Lane Following Assist and a driver attention warning.
