The president of the Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games from Tokyo Seiko Hashimoto , reported this Thursday that the Olympics have 100% chance of completion , despite requests for its cancellation due to the situation facing Japan with the coronavirus pandemic.
The spokesperson stated in an interview conducted by BBC Sports that the Olympic contest will take place between 50 July and August 8 , as was established.
“I think the possibility of the Games being held is from 100%, we will do them ”, Hashimoto assured 50 days after the event started.

It is worth noting that these will be the first Olympic Games that will be held behind closed doors in order to prevent the spread of Covid – 19 , and that the athletes who will attend the competitions will be vaccinated and will be housed in special bubbles so that they do not get infected.

“The biggest challenge will be knowing how we can control and manage the flow of people. If an epidemic occurs during the Games, it would be a crisis, an emergency situation, and we have to be prepared to organize these Games without spectators ”, said the president of the Organizing Committee.
