It is expected that in the next two weeks, many of the state restrictions on COVID will be lifted – 19 in California, including guidance on mask use for those who are fully vaccinated.

While customers can dispose of the mask, the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health ( Cal / OSHA) will issue new rules on the use of masks after 15 June at work and is considering that those workplace rules are much stricter than state and federal guidelines , and would require employees to keep masks on even after 15 of June.

Frank Rothstein and his co-workers at the Prima Vini wine and spirits store may have to wait a bit longer than they expected before weaning off the mask, according to NBC San Diego .

Cal / OSHA is considering the U or masks in work places from California unless the company has documentation that all employees have been fully vaccinated.

“They are ensuring the safety of workers so that they can impose rules that are stricter than the general public”, Contra Costa County Health Director Chris Farnitano told NBC San Diego .

He added that the county is eagerly awaiting guidance from the agency as they have had their share of COVID outbreaks – 19 in the place of work during the pandemic.

“Certainly, when people go to work in person, it is a place where they are potentially at risk of contracting COVID,” he said. “So all of these guidelines are designed to minimize that risk.”

Walnut Creek restaurant owner Tony Dudum said his employees are eager to remove their mask , but it says it will do what CAl / OSHA says it should do.

“I think everyone would like to take off their mask and be free and not be held hostage by this device ”Said Dudum.

A customer of 1515 Restaurant and Lounge, Tony Dudum’s business, said he is behind Cal / OSHA’s proposal.

“I don’t know how companies feel, but for a customer it feels good to walk in and see everyone wearing masks,” said customer Robin Donaghue.

Cal / OSHA’s workplace safety board is expected to vote on the proposed guidelines by the end of the week.
