HBO Max launches cheaper service with ads

HBO Max continues to gain ground in the streaming war. Starting today, users will be able to get the premium experience more accessible with the launch of the new ad-supported subscription level.

The launch of HBO Maz gives its consumers the flexibility to choose between the standard subscription option, which does not contain advertising, at a price of $ 14. 99 dollars per month or opt for subscription with ads for $ 9. 99.

The platform also offers its new and returning subscribers the option to pay in advance and save more than 15%; the subscription per year with advertising is $ 99. 99 dollars and the subscription per year without ads is $ 369. 99 Dollars.

About this new modality, a company manager assured that advertising is a proven to reduce the cost of the great entertainment option they offer, and this allows to reach a wider audience.

Both subscription levels of the HBO Max platform will offer access to the original programming of the company. The streaming service’s catalog is made up of content from major brands in the entertainment industry such as Warner Bros. DC, HBO, Cartoon Network and Turner Classic.

This week the company announced the arrival of HBO Max to Mexico and Latin America debut that is scheduled for the next 29 of June. Among the most anticipated releases by Latin American fans is the special episode of the reunion of Friends Y the movie of terror The Conjuring 3 which will hit both theaters and the small screen on June 4.

HBO Max was released on 27 May 2020 and has since attracted the attention of a large number of people. At the end of last year it announced that it had registered 4.1 million subscriptions and they are projected to reach between 50 Y 55 million customers in the United States for 2025.
