In this long holiday, on Monday morning Francisco Bonilla answered calls non-stop. His customers asked him for take-out orders, while he served customers waiting for their breakfast at the restaurant El Dorado de Carson .

In the small kitchen of the family restaurant, two employees quickly prepared the diners’ food.

After four years of existence, Bonilla, owner of El Dorado, located in the 23916 S. Avalon Blvd., said that since 2020 the restaurant has been on its feet during the pandemic, mainly with takeout sales. They did not participate in the sales of cell phone application services to order food.

Bonilla put up a tent with chairs and tables in the parking lot, which allowed him to have more clients. Currently his restaurant only has four tables available.

“About four or five months ago we put up the tent, but if you let us We are going to continue having it outside because that way customers order and can eat here, “said Bonilla, whose specialty is Mexican food, juices and smoothies.
