Municipalities of the Tierra Caliente in the state of Michoacán became a war zone due to the battle between drug traffickers of the Cartel Jalisco New Generation (CJNG) and United Cartels (CU).
In a new violent day, where criminal groups fight for control of the territory, the balance was at least 11 narcobloqueos , two shops and 16 vehicles burned, four patrol cars destroyed and clashes with members of the State Public Security and the National Guard (GN).

The attacks, according to preliminary federal reports, were carried out by Los Viagras and the Cartel de La Familia Michoacana (LFM) in the municipality of Apatzingán.
For its part, the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, commanded by Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes aka the Mencho , supposedly took control of his hometown, Aguililla , municipality where there have been clashes and narcoblocks .
Proof of this is that on the outskirts of the 43 Military Zone, a blanket was hung with the legend “United for Aguililla, we want to return home.”
The day began in the municipality of Buenavista, where a group of troops from the National Guard were attacked with stones by residents in the town of El Terrero. Apparently the uniformed men used their weapons to fight the civilian attack.

Later, authorities answered dozens of calls from Assistance on some eight drug blockades on various roads in Tierra Caliente.
According to security reports, armed individuals stripped their drivers of at least seven units of heavy load, which were pierced and set on fire.
The blockades were reported in the towns of Zarapitiro, El 25, La Ruana, Santa Ana Amatlán, in the municipality of Good view. In the town of Los Hornos, on the road Aguililla – Apatzingán; La Corona, in Múgica; in Uspero, and Las Yeguas, in the municipality of Parácuaro , according to federal sources.
In response to the blockades, a convoy of State Police patrols that circulated in the via Aguililla -Apatzingán was attacked with stones by inhabitants, without any injuries being reported.
At the head of Apatzingán , a department store was set on fire, while businesses lowered their curtains to prevent vandalism.

The violence reached the capital of the state, Morelia , where they reported an attack on state patrols with Molotov cocktails.
Bus runs from this city to destinations such as Buenavista , Apatzingán , Tepalcatepec and Coalcomán , were suspended for safety.
According to the Police of Michoacán , the violence was generated in response to their anti-crime operations.
The state government reported that the blockades were released.
