The ex-marriage formed by Brad Pitt Y Angelina Jolie will share the custody of their six children in common. That is the decision that the judge would have finally made John Ouderkirk , who has been highly criticized by the actress’s legal team for not allowing any of her offspring to testify in the oral hearings of the process, and that would have made it official in a provision that, however, can be appealed.
In fact, the star attorneys of Hollywood have hinted, according to reports The New York Post , who will follow these legal channels in order to reverse the measure, since they believe that the magistrate has not been objective enough for the interests of the actress and, above all, sensible when it comes to protecting the well-being of minors. In a brief presented this week, they alluded to the “risks” that for children would entail handing over part of their guardianship to a person, referring to Brad, with a history of “domestic violence.”
On the other hand, the lawyers of Brad Pitt openly welcomed the decision considering that Judge Ouderkirk, after several months of exhaustive investigation into the family circumstances of the former couple, has been reasonable and understanding in relation to the main objective that the actor had set himself with such controversial litigation: that of simply spending more time with his offspring and preventing his ex-wife from definitively separating him from them.
“The arrangement relating to the guardianship of the n iños has changed significantly and all of this is the result of a rigorous and extensive analysis carried out by the judge. Brad was just trying to spend more time with his kids, and it’s clear Angelina has gone to great lengths to avoid that. This trial has gone on for too many months and no one can say that a decision was made lightly. In all this time, numerous experts, witnesses, therapists and many other people who have been in direct contact with the children have come to the stage, and the final decision has been based on all this ”, explained an informant close to Brad Pitt in conversation with the medium.
