Four days after starting the process of distributing the stimulus checks, the Internal Revenue (IRS) does not yet enable the tool ” Get My Payment ” on their website for beneficiaries to verify payment status in case they do not receive funds.

Initially, the agency said that in the next few days the service would be reactivated.

A notice on the IRS website indicates that the agency is making updates to the system to make available “Get My Payment” to users.

“The IRS continue to monitor and preparing for new legislation related to Economic Impact Payments. The IRS continues to make updates to the Get My Payment portal to provide updated information for taxpayers in the near future. Please continue to monitor IRS.gov for the latest information ”, reported the entity .

As part of the first round, the user obtained the status of their stimulus check, the way it was issued, and provided their bank account information in limited cases.

The procedure required, in principle, to provide data on the number of Social Security , date of birth and postal address; as requested by the tool.

Many users experienced problems submitting information for various reasons that included: incorrect or incomplete data or having entered the system more than once a day.
