Hundreds of people gathered on Saturday night on the beaches and streets of Huntington Beach , in Orange County, after that a TikTok video made the call go viral. The spontaneous party, which did not respect current security measures against the spread of
coronavirus ended with police intervention to clear the crowd.

While the agents tried to control the chaos, some assistants exploded fireworks in the middle of the street . This caused people to flee for cover, as published abc 7 .
What promoted the viral video on the social network was a birthday party that caught the attention of the authorities before it even happened. Local police forces followed up on the TikTok call, which reached three million views, and prepared a device in advance.
A post on Twitter by the Department. Huntington Beach Police warned they were bracing for “a possible increase of visitors this weekend thanks to a promoted meeting that has received a significant interest in social networks ”. The local agency took advantage of the tweet to recall the regulations in force in place such as the prohibition of the consumption of alcohol or drugs on the beach or launch fireworks.

But many people in the crowd appeared to violate these rules and the authorities ended up declaring the found as illegal gathering . They later evacuated the area due to a bomb threat.
A Huntington Beach Police Department lieutenant estimated that between 500 Y 500 people were scattered on the beach . And, far from going home after the orders of the authorities, they continued the party through the streets of the town.
The chaotic night ended with at least a police patrol car with a broken window , possibly due to fireworks, according to the television station mentioned above.
