At the last minute the Conmebol has had a decision not easy at all. Colombia and Argentina shared the venue for the next Copa América 2021 , but now it seems that it will only be played in Argentina due to the possible resignation of Colombia to host the sporting event.
The United States Department of State sent a report to both federations, in which it is said that currently it is impossible to give security guarantees , in addition to the Covid – 19, according to a source from the Diario Marca.
Colombia drops as headquarters. Argentina will be the only country to host the Copa América.

Colombia tried to show that everything was fine, and that it could control the social situation it is experiencing, but everything it got out of hand .

For that reason the leaders of the Colombian Football Federation met with authorities of the Conmebol to agree the withdrawal of the coffee country from the South American conflict.
Although the decision is made less than a month before the start of the tournament , announced for the 11 June, the factors Colombia suffers do not give truce.
Colombia got off as organizer of the Copa América and the contest will be played entirely in Argentina .

The federations of Paraguay, Chile and Uruguay offered to host. However, it did not go beyond a formal offer to Conmebol.
