Last year Microsoft announced that the 15 August this 2021 your famous Internet Explorer browser would stop working, however, the date was extended to 2022, specifically the 15 of July. In total Explorer has been present in the internet world throughout 25 years.

Through a statement the company, founded by Bill Gates, stated that “Internet Explorer 11 will be withdrawn and will no longer receive technical support on 15 June 2022 for certain versions of Windows 10”, so that PC users could no longer use it .

Although Microsoft will stop supporting the browser that was consolidated in the decade of the 90 and the 2000, you already have its replacement called Edge, which offers new faces characteristics and possibilities that will allow you to be a better search engine than Internet Explorer , according to the company.

Microsoft Edge is not a new browser, was first released for Windows 10 and Xbox One on 2015 , then for Android and iOS at 2015, for macOS at 2019 and as a preview for Linux in October 2020, so it is not a new platform in the technological world.

In this sense, the company indicated that “Microsoft Edge is faster, more secure and offers a more modern browsing experience than Internet Explorer. Plus, it addresses a key issue: compatibility with older websites and apps. ”

Microsoft noted that Edge developers integrated an Internet Explorer mode that allows access to Internet portals and applications based on Explorer as if the old browser were being used, but with better speed and support conditions that will meet the demands of users.

Regarding privacy, Edge allows you to establish conditions of use to be sure that minors will not be exposed or in danger, therefore “parents can choose the appropriate experience for the age of their children from 5 to 8 years old and from 9 to 12 years. ”

Thus, Microsft pretends to be a guarantor of safety for minors, emphasizing that when using Edge“ will have a more browsing experience s safe with sites and preselected child safety settings ”.

Since the last decade Internet Explorer began to lose users, mainly due to platforms with faster and more easy for navigation like Google Chrome, Apple Safari and Firefox. This situation led Microsoft to rethink the continuity of its browser.
