TEXAS – The tiger that has captured Houston’s attention for the week was finally found safe, and this Sunday it was reported that the animal will have a new house on the premises of a ranch that houses exotic animals in Cleveland , Texas, according to authorities.

After the wife of the alleged owner of the animal turned it over to officials on Saturday, the tiger named India underwent a medical evaluation .

Staff from the Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch, where the tiger will be transferred, arrived on Sunday to take it to the facility.

The director of the aforementioned ranch, Noelle Almrud, said that the sanctuary located in Murchison, Texas is one of the most diverse in the United States.

“We have more than 800 animals that have been neglected and we are happy to bring Black Beauty to India ”, said Almrud.

The tiger He will be introduced to a natural space with a pool, trees and a nutritious diet.

India was seen on the loose in a neighborhood west of the city last week. Several people posted videos of the animal on social networks and this unleashed a sequence of events that included the escape of Víctor Cuevas, the alleged owner of the animal, with the tiger.

The tiger was hidden for several days and despite the fact that the Police arrested Cuevas, they did not made known the whereabouts of India for several days. It wasn’t until Saturday that India was recovered after Cuevas’ wife turned him over to Houston Police officers.

Cuevas, who faces murder charges in the 2017 in Fort Bend County, he is incarcerated for having evaded arrest the day he escaped from his residence with the animal.

A judge posted a bond for Cuevas of $ 300, 000 dollars on Friday.
