Hispanic Passenger Attacks Uber Driver With Knife During Trip In Texas; stole the victim's vehicle

TEXAS – An Uber driver in the Grapevine, Texas area was attacked by a passenger who was armed with a knife this Thursday morning.

The authorities are asking for the help of the community to find the suspect who escaped from the scene after the attack.

The Police reported that the incident occurred against the Uber driver while leaving a passenger outside the Amli Apartments located between E Dallas Road and Nash Street.

It was at that moment that the passenger attacked the driver multiple times with a knife and then fled in the vehicle.

The driver was left bleeding in the street while the suspect drove away in his vehicle. The victim managed to get up to seek help and some people who saw him injured immediately called

The driver was taken to the hospital where he is recovering from the injuries.

The suspect is described as Hispanic who is about 5’6 ″ tall, weighs A shirt with an orange vest and a hood.

The vehicle is a Toyota Camry of the 2016 with #NMT plates – 9734.

The Police ask people to see the vehicle or even the person in charge to call immediately at ; fear the suspect may be armed.

Uber issued the following statement:

“This act of violence is devastating and will not be tolerated. We have deactivated the passenger account and we are helping the authorities with the investigation. ”
