AUSTIN – In the first months of the pandemic restaurants and bars in Texas had to close their doors, the economic blow was devastating, and to help them Governor Greg Abbott approved an emerging measure that allowed customers to purchase alcoholic beverages to go.
Months later and with the opening of the state to one hundred percent, the president had a good idea to create a new law in Texas that allows customers and businesses to permanently enjoy the option of alcoholic beverages to go.
Temporary measures to assist businesses during the COVID pandemic – 19 have been updated and this Tuesday it was announced that they were approved after Abbott signed them to be permanent.

The change occurs as part of the Bill 1024 of the House of Representatives, which was approved by the Legislature on 28 April and enacted by Governor Abbott East 12 May.
The law, which entered into force Immediately after it was signed by the Governor, it authorizes mixed drink permit holders and private clubs to sell alcohol, including mixed drinks, for customer pickup and delivery, provided they meet the requirements
Some other permit holders, such as wine and beer retailers, already had authority to sell alcohol to go.
“This new law will help businesses keep their doors open and ensure Texans keep their jobs,” said TABC CEO Bentley Nettles.
Under the new law, private club and mixed drink permit holders can:
a delivery permit to the consumer midor (CD), to make deliveries on your behalf.
