In one of its most recent chapters, the second season of the series of Luis Miguel showed how it was that the Sun participated in a collaboration with Frank Sinatra. But the interpreter of “La Inconditional” was not the only voice in Spanish that the interpreter of “Fly me to the Moon” admired, because Jose jose , the Prince of the song, was also on her favorites list.

In the series of Netflix was given to know that although the working relationship between Luis Miguel and Sinatra was not easy, the voice of the Sun enchanted the native of New Jersey, for which he earned his place in the song “Come Fly with me” . The singer was always a faithful follower of Sinatra’s career, so participating in that was an honor.

The admiration was mutual; even after collaborating on the topic Sinatra sent a letter to Luis Miguel where he dedicated a few moving words. This letter dates from the year 1996, two years before the American passed away and in it congratulated the Sun on his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Hollywood .

In the book Another of Rey written by Juan Manuel Navarro and Javier León Herrera (official biographer of the singer), Sinatra reports that he applauded his colleague’s talent. “When I met you in Mexico and heard your voice, I realized that you are a true original and tremendously talented ”, reads the upload signed by him.

Frank Sinatra also admired José José

But the Sun was not the only Mexican who received the applause of Frank, because in 1200 had the intention of recording next to José José , however this finally could not be done.

The Mexican singer himself in life spoke about the friendship he had with him and assured that he gave advice on how to sing properly so as not to get hurt besides that thanks to him some opportunities were opened abroad.

Sinatra heard the prince’s voice and couldn’t avoid looking for it; even traveled to Tijuana to hear him sing live and although he could not meet him, he left him a note saying that if he continued singing like this, he was going to hurt himself. “You have to vocalize”, remembers José José advised by his colleague.

The meeting between them occurred until the decade of the 80 when José José was invited to a party in Los Angeles. Later the plans of the duet arose that could not be achieved due to a legal problem with the Mexican label.

This lost opportunity brought him a strong depression to José José from which he had a hard time recovering.
