Days after a human foot was found by a Caltrans worker on the Freeway 210 in Southern California , researchers found more human remains this Friday.
With the support of K-9 dogs, elements of the California Highway Patrol closed the highway in a segment of Rialto, in the County San Bernardino, looking for answers after Monday’s ghoulish discovery in the middle of the freeway .
A CHP spokesperson said that following the new findings, investigators believe a person was struck by a vehicle on the freeway, reported the local newspaper The Press-Enterprise .
The case is mysterious given that no person was reported with injuries of this nature. The foot found was that of a woman and she was barefoot. It was said that it would take time to identify who the foot belonged to.
No details were given on the new human remains found on Friday.
