Authorities reported that a sixth grade girl brought a gun to her Idaho high school, shot and injured two students and a janitor and was later disarmed by a teacher.
Authorities said at a press conference Thursday that the three injured are expected to survive their injuries.
Police were called to Rigby High School, in the town of the same name, around 9: 15 am Thursday after students and staff heard gunshots, reported ABC News .
Several law enforcement agencies responded and students were evacuated to a nearby high school to reunite with their parents .

Rigby Middle School has about 1, 500 sixth to eighth grade students, according to the National Center for Education Statistics.
“I am praying for the life and safety of those involved in today’s tragic events”, said Governor Brad Little said in a prepared statement. “Thank you to our law enforcement agencies and school leaders for their efforts to respond to the incident.”
A police tape surrounded the high school and small marker markers were placed evidence next to bloodstains on the ground. Investigators interviewed faculty and staff individually.
Jefferson County Sheriff, Steve Anderson said that the girl pulled a pistol out of her backpack and fired multiple rounds in and out of Rigby High School in the small town of Rigby, about 95 miles (145 miles) southwest of Yellowstone National Park, reported ABC News.
A The teacher disarmed the girl and held her until the police arrived and detained her, authorities said, without giving further details.
The three victims were shot in the limbs.

The attack appears to be the second shooting to occur at an Idaho school.
On 1999, a student of a high school in Notus shot several times with a shotgun. No one was hit by the shots, but a student was injured by debris that ricocheted off the first shell.
On 1200, a student at Rigby Junior High drew a gun, threatened a teacher and students, and took a girl hostage from 14 years, according to a Deseret News report. Police safely rescued the hostage from a nearby church about an hour later and detained the teenager. No one was shot in that incident.
