Chiquis Rivera and Victoria La Mala launch 'Sexo Débil' new empowerment anthem
Chiquis Rivera and Victory La Mala surprise by joining forces with a new collaboration where the powerful duo of singers remind all the women of the world that they are not the “ Weak Sex ”title that bears the name of his production.
For a few days the couple of Women have been leaving little clues of their collaboration that is also accompanied by a sensual video, where each one separately enchants all their millions of followers with their hot movements to the rhythm of the catchy music.
“ Weak Sex (TNMDQH) ”is a corrido with small cumbia cuts that lists all the things that men can do without any problem, but women have than working twice as hard.
Part of what led Chiquis to want to get involved in this project is that it reminds her mother of the Diva de la Banda Jenni Rivera and everything she had to overcome within the industry to achieve success.
“ Since I heard this song, I really liked it for its message, the concept behind it. I have been in this industry for many years; And also through my mother I know what it is to be a woman in our gender and in life . When Victoria introduced me to this idea, I loved it, it is an honor for me to perform this song that empowers women because that’s what it’s all about, uniting between women and supporting each other “, Chiquis said.
The song, which is part of the recently released first EP by Victoria La Mala, “ I’m Bad “, it was written by Victoria La Mala with Claudia Brant , and was produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Ulises Lozano .
“ When a man gets mad at the devil he forgives him // But they call me crazy if my tears show up “, Victoria sings as she opens the song with this powerful verse that refers to the many times that e women are not taken into account in professional settings and beyond because they are considered “too emotional”.
But as the song progresses, Chiquis responds with “ Not because I’m a doll I’m going to keep quiet // My wishes are respected today and yours tomorrow ”, Which is aimed at the new generation of women who are being taught that they can become whatever they want and that they deserve the same respect as anyone else.
Music video
The video that accompanies the song was directed by Elliott Muscat and Miss World , with the creative direction of Victoria La Mala, shows both Victoria La Mala and Rivera living between glamor and a luxurious mansion complete with a tennis court.
The images align with the message that women can do what they put their minds to, that they are stronger than they think and, most importantly, that women should support each other.
