Cruise Ships Appear in the Port of Galveston; travel in Texas likely to resume in July

TEXAS – During this Sunday two cruise ships of the Carnival company appeared at the terminals of the Port of Galveston and although not had travelers, the occasion at least meant that there is a hope that very soon the trips will be able to restart.

“The intention is that they can stay here (in Galveston) and that the crews can come in to start working on restoring the cruise ships so they are ready and travel can begin, ”said Rodger Rees , Chief Executive Officer of the Port of Galveston.

The cruise ships Carnival Breeze and Carnival Vista appeared at the facilities of the Texas port for the first time since April 2020.

The cruise terminals are empty now, but the ships’ arrivals may signal a return to normal before too long. https://t.co/FZaNQZmkq0
