The flying side Luis “Huesos” Reyes will become the first reinforcement of the “Rayados” of Monterrey for the Clausura 2025 tournament where they will seek to get rid of the frustration left by the defeat in the grand final of the Apertura 2024 championship with the Eagles of America.
The above was confirmed at a press conference by the sports president from the so-called “Gang”, José Antonio Noriega where he established that the player from Atlas will become the first reinforcement of the team where he arrives as a free agent after concluding his employment relationship with the red-and-black team of Atlas.
“Nowadays you can’t keep secrets, so, beyond the fact that our media director is going to kill me, I will make it official right now. We are tied with him, Luis will be our first reinforcement. A player with experience, quality, personality and regality. He is happy to come, to return, being back (to the city) motivates him a lot,” said the Monterrey leader.
Noriega also added that: “We felt that in that sector of the field we had an opportunity, especially in 2025.full of activity, we needed people to compete in that position,” the leader also specified, aware of the great activity they will have next year.
Extensive career
Luis “Huesos” Reyes arrives at Monterrey with an extensive career of 12 years as a professional since his appearance in the basic forces of Atlas and where he left to tour teams such as Unión de Curtidores, Loros FC, Altamira, Tampico Madero, where his participation and his closeness with Mario García, current coach of the Zacatecas Miners of the Expansion League.
From there, Atlas recovered it for its ranks and then he went to América, Atlético San Luis and returned to Atlas, where his employment relationship finally ended to receive the offer from Monterrey that will allow him to reach the current Mexican soccer runner-up.
Among his greatest achievements, Reyes has three Liga MX titles with América in the Apertura 2018 tournament and with Atlas in the Apertura 2021 and Clausura 2022 tournaments, which gave him consolidation in his career.
In the previous championship he played 18 games including one in the Play-In, where was expelled. Now he arrives at Rayados to show the level that allowed him to play ten games with the Mexican team from 2017 to date, where little by little he has demonstrated his great ability and talent on the left side.
