There have been many coaches who have complained about the lack of opportunity for Mexicans in their own Liga MX. Several strategists have had to go to other countries to develop their careers on the bench. David Patiño follows this rule.

Eduardo Fentanes, one of the last Mexican coaches who has been able to coach in his country, He assured that in Mexico there is no patience with the Aztec strategists. In fact, Fentanes advised Efraín Juárez not to step into Liga MX if he had other options.

In this sense, the panorama presented by Mexican coaches continues to be fulfilled: the flight of technical directors outside of Mexico continues. David Patiño comes to Honduran soccer with the Deportivo Victoria club.

“The news you were waiting for. Los Jaibos have a technical director and we welcome David Patiño from Mexico. Are you ready for this new season?”, this is how the club announced to its new coach.

Club Deportivo Victoria is a team that finished in the penultimate position of the Apertura 2024. This is a club founded in 1935 and has three league tournaments in its entire history (1965-66, 1971-72 and 1973-74).

“We share with you a little of what was experienced today in the presentation of our Technical Director, @davidpatinooviedo. The Jaibos are going with everything this day 2025. Thanks to the media that were present tonight,” the club wrote on its social networks.
