“Guadalajara reached an agreement with Orbelín Pineda to return to Chivas. contract three years with the option of one more. “They hope to set time in advance agreement with AEK to carry out the operation in the first week of January,” said the journalist.
If this comes to fruition, Pineda would return to Chivas after 6 years of absencesince he left the Sacred Flock before Clausura 2019, a tournament he played with the Cruz Azul shirt, where he stayed until 2021, before leaving for Spain to join Celta de Vigo. He lasted only a few months there, then he was transferred to AEK Athens, where he plays to this day under the orders of Matías Almeyda, who also coached him at Chivas.
Orbelín is one of the elements that helped Chivas win its last league championship, at the Closing 2017, peror he was also key in obtaining the Copa MX and the Supercopa MX in that same year, as well as the Concacaf Champions League in 2018.
