Child loses life in Los Angeles pool

Authorities are conducting an investigation into the death of a 5-year-old boy who apparently drowned in the backyard pool of his home in the Hacienda Heights area, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD).

The LASD said that at 10:30 p.m. this Sunday a 911 call was received reporting that a child was not breathing in the 16000 block of Sigman Street, near the intersection with Stimson Avenuean emergency that was responded to by department marshals.

They also went to the place Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedicswho performed cardiopulmonary respiration on the minor before rushing him in critical condition to a hospital, where he later died.

Some reports said that The mother was in the house accompanied by a girlwho realized that his brother was in the pool, so he ran to alert his mother.

LASD homicide detectives responded to the home where the incident occurred, but authorities said That didn’t mean a crime had been committed..

According to the first investigations, the death of the 5-year-old child was the result of a tragic accident.

According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Drowning is the second most common cause of accidental death among children 14 years of age and younger.

Around 750 children drown each year.of which 375 incidents occur within 25 yards of a parent or adult.
