César Garza was presented as ehe new reinforcement of Dundee FC. The youth squad Rayados de Monterrey will begin his adventure in Europe.

Through a statement on social networks, the Scottish Championship club, equivalent to the second division of Scotland announced the signing of 19 year old mexicanwho He arrives on a one-year loan from the Liga MX clubdue to an agreement for the training of footballers.

“This transfer is part of the sports collaboration agreement between Club de Futbol Monterrey and Dundee FC, which allows players from the Basic Forces to emigrate to Europe to continue their development,” explains the message in which the player is shown wearing his new uniform and a Mexican flag on his shoulders.

Who is César Garza?

The midfielder trained at Rayados de Monterrey from a very young age, making his debut with the blue and white jersey in the U-13 category, rising shortly after to the U-16 and then to the U-18, where he was before making his debut with the first team at 18 years old.

In Clausura 2023 he appeared for the first time on a first division field under the command of Fernando Ortiz in a match on date 2 of Liga MX against Santos Laguna.

Since then he had action in 10 first division matches and some of the Concacaf Champions Cupincluding the one that Rayados played in the quarterfinals against the Inter Miami commanded by Lionel Messi.

However, with the departure of “Tano” and the arrival of Martín Demichelis to the bench, the Nuevo León native no longer had many opportunities to step on the field, so he took the opportunity to emigrate to Europe.

Garza also wore the national jersey in the U-20 category in several friendly matches and in the Concacaf championship, in which the mini Tri won the final against the United States 2-1, thus being crowned in the tournament.

In this way, César Garza becomes the third Mexican to sign up with Dundee, following in the footsteps of Diego Pineda and Antonio Portales.
