This Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day of 2024 will be celebrated and generally most retail chains close their locations as do public service entities.
It is for this reason that if you have not yet done your shopping for these festivities, here is a list of the places that will be open and closed during these two days:
Retail stores
Some chains Retailers will observe restricted hours such as Albertsons Companies, Kroger, Whole Foods, Aldi, Trader Joe’s and Sam’s Club which will close at 6:00 pm local timeon Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day, as will Walmart, Target, Costco, Home Depot, Lowe’s; Macy’s, Kohl’s, Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack in order to give their employees the day off.
The pharmacies that will be operational on Christmas Eve and Christmas are CVS, Walgreens, while Rite Aid will open normal hours on Christmas Eve and close on Christmas.
Postal and financial services
Postal service chains such as FedEx Ground and Custom Critical will operate normally, FedEx Express and FedEx Office will operate on reduced hours. UPS will work only on Christmas Eve, but its UPS Express Critical service will be available on Christmas. The United States Postal Service announced that it will not send parcels on December 25.
As to The New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq will not operate on Christmas Day and some banking entities such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo and TD Bank will not provide services on holidays, but their ATMs and mobile banking will be operational.
