Manchester City is in an acute crisis. This Saturday they fell 2-1 against Aston Villa with a great goal from Colombian Jhon Durán.

Aston Villa grew at Villa Park in a duel that pitted sixth place against fifth place in the Premier League.

Unai Emery won the duel against Pep Guardiola, who seems not to find the solution to the results crisis that citizens are suffering.

Jhon Durán, one of the best Colombian players in Europe, was the scorer of the first goal of the match.

In a quick counterattack play and only four passes, Villa reached the area and Jhon Durán received the last pass to define with a great right-footed shot.

The 21-year-old Colombian forward scored his seventh goal of the season in 17 games played in the Premier League this year.

In the second half, Aston Villa knew how to nullify Erling Haaland and Jack Grealish as references in Manchester City’s attack.

Once again in a counterattacking play, Villa managed to do damage and Morgan Rogers took credit for the goal with a left-footed shot that seemed to end City’s hopes.

Manchester City only had one clear opportunity with a series of rebounds that fell to Phil Foden and he scored with his left foot at 90+3, which only made up the final result of the game.

How does Manchester City look after the defeat?

After their third defeat in the last five games, Manchester City dropped to fifth place in the standings.

City have lost 9 of their last 11 games in all competitions. They could also drop to sixth place in the Premier League table if Bournemouth wins on this date.

Manchester would almost be saying goodbye to any chance at the title. Liverpool could be up to 15 points ahead if they win the two fewer games they have.
