La Volpe without hard feelings with Cuauhtémoc Blanco for his lack of respect

Ricardo Antonio La Volpe does not hold a grudge against Cuauhtémoc Blanco for lack of respect that the former América figure and former governor of Morelos had against the former Mexico national team coach in the live broadcast of the grand final between the Águilas and Monterrey and it went viral in every way.

Even the former strategist of teams like Oaxtepec, Ángeles de Puebla, Chivas, Querétaro, Atlante, América, Toluca, Atlas, Jaguares de Chiapas, as well as Boca Juniors and Vélez Sársfield, assured that there are no problems if Televisa decides to bring them together again for another broadcast of the next Clausura 2025 tournament.

In exclusive chat with The OpinionLa Volpe recognized that it was a lack of respect for the former Mexican national team against him and against David Faitelson and that he even had to count to ten to not react violently because his condition as a foreigner does not allow it. and that if they had done so, they would have applied article 33 regarding the obligations and guarantees of foreigners in the Aztec nation.

“At first I didn’t realize it, because I was on the phone. Number two, I can’t react as a foreigner, so I let it go, but I appreciate “that Mr. Cuauhtémoc Blanco called me and apologized to me,” said La Volpe, who at all times assured that the best thing about all this mess was that he was able to remain calm in the face of an event that millions of people saw.

On the subject he added that: “They are actions that happen and you have to let them pass.” “so as not to take actions on television, where everyone is watching you and you could have a bad reaction, especially being a foreigner, they were going to say.”

But this matter set social networks on fire and even David Faitelson said that Cuauhtémoc Blanco apologized to them, but what is your opinion of all this?

There are things that you have to let go, because if you were on the street, you could react, but you were live, the reaction had to be aggressive without any doubt because of the action he does, where I would have had to stand up and be aggressive.

But thank God I was able to control myself and I don’t have any problems, these are things that I let go, of course I didn’t like it, it’s logical that I didn’t like it, But there are things that one must be calm about.

But would you share the screen with Cuauhtémoc Blanco again?

He spoke to me, that’s what I liked, I listened to him, he spoke to me on the phone and I think there will be no problem if Televisa calls us again for the broadcast. He has to know that we are on the air and that there must be behavior.

La Volpe insisted that she does not have any type of problem with Cuauhtémoc Blanco and that they have done everything great because he was not called to the Mexico team for the 2006 World Cup in Germany and even acknowledged that he may have made a mistake on that occasion.

“I have no problem with Cuauhtémoc Blanco, the problem was caused by whether I took him or not. to the World Cup, it will always be the same, I don’t understand it, but hey, I had a system and he knows it. “I may have made a mistake and I can also say it, I may have made a mistake, but I had my game system.”

And in terms of game systems, because for me game systems are formed by the players with their characteristics, and that comes before the figures, than the names, for me it is the team, the collective work. If I was wrong, I was wrong and he knows it, I never had problems with him and well, what happened happened and that’s it.”

Cuauhtémoc Blanco called La Volpe to apologize

In more details of the event in the transmission of the grand final between Monterrey vs. America, where Cuauhtémoc Blanco carried out an action that in popular slang is considered nonsense and is defined as “a descent through the chescos (soft drinks)”, La Volpe did not want to fuel the controversy and stressed that the important thing is that the former number 10 of the Águilas apologized.

“I don’t think I’m doing anything about this anymore, but hey, I’m a little calmer because I’m grateful. “that Mr. Cuauhtémoc Blanco called me to apologize.”.

Do you deserve any opinion that on social networks they have said that you and Faitelson lost dignity for seeking to increase the rating of the transmission??

Not at all, the action already happened, I didn’t even realize it and thank God I didn’t realize it, I didn’t take it as a reaction, because I counted to ten And I insist again, I have been in Mexico for more than 45 years, but I am still a foreigner, because he did react, be careful.

La Volpe said that many times one must remain calm so as not to further fuel the problem, especially because of his status as a foreigner in Mexico: “You must know how many times they told me about the famous 33, on the same street, when they say atrocious things to you. and when that happened in Chivas, they shouted atrocities at me, but one must know how to count to ten, because there is the famous 33.

As a culmination of this whole matter that flooded and set social networks on fire, Ricardo Antonio La Volpe once again pointed out that if he had reacted violently against Cuauhtémoc Blanco he would have been on the losing end due to his status as a foreigner.

“Because I think that if I had reacted violently, From there in Monterrey they send me back to Argentina,” concluded the former technician and current analyst for the TUDN network.
