Ricky Montaner reported that he and his brother Mau were victims of a robbery in Spain. This Saturday, the singer told what happened to him through a video on TikTok.
The brother duowho are in Spain to perform on December 21 in Madrid, He decided to travel to Barcelona with the intention of spending a few days and performing at a friend’s show.
“We are here in Spain because on December 21 we have our first Starlite in Madrid, which is going to be a very special show. We wanted to come a couple of days before to surprise in Barcelona because a friend of ours is playing tonight.e”, says Ricky.
Upon arriving at the train station, while they were loading a van with the equipment for the show, The singers and their team decided to go to a nearby square to talk and enjoy the good weather in the city.
“We were hanging out around the truck. It was a nice day and we were in the little square there,” says the singer, who says that, while talking with his team, He noticed that a person approached the truck.
“I see a guy approach the truck and open the front door, he looks out, and he opens the back door and I see he takes out a bag. I tell myself: ‘this is already kind of suspicious.’ I stop to get closer and see that he has like an electric scooter. And I shouted to him: ‘My friend, my friend, my friend’ and I saw that he got on the scooter and I started shouting: ‘They are robbing me’” says Ricky.
Immediately, The singer ran to chase the thief, but could not catch up with him. “I start running away. The guy crossed to the left and got into traffic and I couldn’t pass anymore.”
However, The singer asked for help and tried to chase him by car with his companions. “I said ‘let’s get in the truck to chase this dude.’ We went to about four places where (the GPS) showed us and we ended up in a building where (the GPS) kept saying it was in there.”
Without hesitation, They called the police to help them recover their belongings, but were unsuccessful. “By law, if they knock on the door and don’t open it, the police cannot enter. We stood outside for half an hour and no one came out. That’s where the sad story ends,” Ricky lamented.
Among the things that They stole some microphones and a laptop.
