The Argentine technical director Pablo Guede was announced this Monday as the new helmsman of Puebla, the club he will lead in the 2025 Clausura Tournament of Mexican soccer that begins in January of the following year.
His entry was made official by the team through a video published on their social networks.
“Dynamism and intensity in the football of our new coach. United from now on. “Welcome to La Franja, teacher Guede!” reads the message that accompanies the clip.
Guede, 50, will lead his fourth team in Liga MX, having previously been on the bench for Monarcas Morelia, Xolos de Tijuana and Necaxa.
The Argentine coach will seek his first title in Mexican football, since he has not achieved it in his previous teams, the closest he came to the crown was in the Apertura 2019, directing Morelia, in his first foray into the Liga MX, when they reached the semifinals after a record of 16 wins, 7 draws and 10 losses.
He later signed for the Xolos de Tijuana, whom he commanded between July 2020 and April 2021, there he left a mark of eight victories, eight drawn duels and 17 losses, a step not as positive as that of his next in charge, Necaxa, in which it only lasted 11 games, with four won, two drawn and five lost.
After this he went to Europe, where he coached Málaga and in 2023 he returned to his native country to coach Argentinos Jrs., his last club before returning to Mexico.
Puebla finished the Apertura 2024 in 15th place, with 14 units out of 48 played, very far from the Liguilla and play-in positions.
