Hawaii woman reported missing in Los Angeles he purposely missed his connecting flight to New Yorkauthorities said.
Hannah Kobayashi, originally from Maui, was last seen on November 11 a few days after she was due on a flight to New York from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
During a Nov. 26 meeting of the Los Angeles Board of Police Commissioners, Chief Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD)Jim McDonnell said police determined that Hannah intentionally missed her flight on Nov. 8.

“On Friday, November 8, Hannah Kobayashi, 23, missed her connecting flight from LAX to New York, what the investigation determined was intentional“, he expressed.
McDonnell mentioned that the LAPD missing persons unit took responsibility for the investigation since November 15.
“Detectives have been diligently reviewing surveillance videos and employing various investigative techniques to locate Hannahwhile his family continued their personal search efforts,” added the LAPD chief.

McDonnell reiterated that the police department in his charge remains fully committed to locating Hannah.
Following the LAPD chief’s statements, Hannah Kobayashi’s family released a statement in which refuted the authorities’ claims.
Sydni Kobayashi said that It didn’t seem like his sister Hannah intentionally missed her flight.alleged that his family was not aware of the alleged findings that were presented at the Police Commission meeting and those they became aware of after watching videos of the meeting.

“These supposed findings they have not yet been passed on to my mother and me directly by the Chief of the Los Angeles Police Department or any detective involved in Hannah’s case,” Sydni Kobayashi said.
Also, Hannah’s sister said that some of the details were incorrect that McDonnell shared about the case.
“Some specific data contained in that report was inaccurate, like Hanna’s age. Hannah is 30 years old, not 23. Furthermore, Hanna’s disappearance was reported to law enforcement on November 11, not November 13, as stated by the chief of the Los Angeles Police Department,” they said in a statement.

“The lack of communication over some important details has made us feel excluded from potentially crucial events. However, we remain hopeful and optimistic that the Los Angeles Police Department is doing everything possible to help us locate Hannah,” they added.
Hannah Kobayashi He was last seen on November 11when she was talking to an American Airlines agent, but the family said the woman did not take any flights.
The family’s concern increased after receiving “strange” messages from your cell phone that looked nothing like the ones Hannah sent.

Hanna was described as a woman 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 140 poundswith brown hair and hazel eyes. The woman has freckles on her face and a tattoo of a knife on her forearm, the LAPD said.
