Costco Kirkland brand eggs recalled due to salmonella risk

A statement from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) informed consumers that Eggs sold at price club chain Costco will be recalled after possible salmonella contamination.

The product was selling in at least 25 establishments distributed in several states of the country such as Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, among others since last November 22 under the original brand of the retailer Kirkland Signature in the presentation of 24 units.

According to the statement, there are approximately 10,800 packages of Kirkland Signature Organic Pasture Raised eggs from Handsome Brook Farm. Until now, The FDA has not confirmed cases of sick buyers related to the consumption of this product.

Furthermore, the details of the recall report indicate that the eggs They are packaged in plastic cartons with the UPC code 9661910680 printed on the packaging with an expiration date of January 5, 2025. The FDA indicated that to date “no other products are affected by this recall,” it said.
