The son-in-law of “El Mencho” captured in the US had his first hearing and said he feared for his life

After living comfortably for a few years in California while everyone thought he was dead, Cristian Gutierrez Ochoaalias “The Guacho”will finally face American justice.

The Mexican drug trafficker, who is also the son-in-law of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantesthe top leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), was arrested a few days ago in a luxurious mansion he lived in Riverside, and already had his first court hearing.

Gutiérrez Ochoa was presented in a federal court in California to appear for the first time, and in said session the judge in charge accepted that the accused be transferred to Washington DC during the first week of December, according to Telemundo.

Likewise, the judge reported that “El Guacho” cannot be made available to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service (ICE), after declared fear for his life and his refusal to return to Mexicowhere he is investigated for the kidnapping of two members of the Navy Secretariat.

During the hearing, federal prosecutors indicated that they found more than two million dollars in cash and a ghost gun in the mansion that the criminal leader lived with Laisha Michelle Oseguera González, youngest daughter of “El Mencho”.

Currently, “El Guacho” is being held in the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Los Angeles, California.

The capture of Gutiérrez Ochoa was possible after the DEA received a file from Interpolwhich was broadcast after Mexican intelligence discovered clues about his whereabouts in California.

“The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) searched its databases and confirmed that the photographs of ‘El Mencho’s’ son-in-law, sent by the Mexican government, matched the biometric records of a resident of California named Miguel Luis Martínez”, revealed Illicit Investigations.
