The singer Joan Sebastian, who lost his life on July 13, 2015, will finally be able to rest in peace, when it was announced that his inheritance would be distributed in the coming weeks after years of litigation between the heirs.

The above information was shared by lawyer Cipriano Sotelo, who is in charge of the intestate succession of the man known as ‘Poet of the People’.

The litigant explained that on December 15 the heirs of the famous singer will receive a proposal from the executor Baltazar Flores and this was announced in the interview he gave to the program ‘Ventaneando’.

In the conversation, he shared that the possibility of the inheritance being distributed as soon as possible is viable after determining that Erika Alonso, Joan’s ex-wife, did not have the right to open a succession trial, such as the one she tried to initiate in the state of Texas.

“It has been determined that Mrs. Erika does not have the rights to demand in that trial any type of consideration for the assets of Mr. Joan Sebastian and that allows us to enter the last stage of litigation in Mexico,” he said after She did not agree with what the musician expressed in his will.

After the above, he shared that he would contact each of the heirs to close this issue as soon as possible for the good of the family and for the singer’s eternal rest.

“Today the heirs are reaching an agreement so that a proposal for the distribution of assets can be made and we hope that by December 15 at the latest,” he continued.

Once the proposal is accepted by the heirs, then by the first months of next year this succession that has given a lot to talk about could be shelved.

In the same talk he explained that a company will be in charge of putting the inheritance in order, especially due to the issue of royalties and that José Julián, son of Julián Figueroa, will be in charge of receiving the inheritance that belonged to his father, but that sadly passed away on April 9, 2023.

“A judge said that it will be her son, the mother remains as representative and I believe that Maribel, Marcos Chacón, are fully willing,” he concluded.
