The fifth day of the Champions League will close this Wednesday, November 27. Undefeated leaders Liverpool will host Real Madrid at Anfield. The merengue team will seek to recover from their painful fall against AC Milan on the last day.
Carlo Ancelotti’s team is not going through its best moment. Of the last four games, Real Madrid has lost two gamesamong them the 0-4 win by FC Barcelona and the 1-3 victory by AC Milan in the Champions League. Both games were at the Santiago Bernabéu.
However, one of the Merengue team’s favorite rivals is Liverpool. Real Madrid has not lost against Liverpool since the 2008/2009 season. 8 matches have passed and the Spanish team has been invincible.
But the present is on Liverpool’s side for this match. Led by Mohamed Salah and Luis Díaz, the “Reds” are the only undefeated team in this UEFA Champions League. The English have defeated AC Milan, Bologna, Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen. In all these games they have only conceded one goal.
In the Premier League the reality is not very different. Those led by Arne Slot are leaders of the English tournament with 31 points as a result of 10 wins, one draw and only one loss.
In general terms, Liverpool comes to this match after having added 13 victories in their last 14 matches in all the tournaments in dispute. The main offensive weapon of this club is Mohamed Salah, a forward who has scored 12 goals and given 10 assists in only 18 games.
The duel between the English and the Spanish will take place this Wednesday, November 27 at the legendary Anfield stadium.
