The Los Angeles Dodgers celebrate their World Series title and they received a large financial bonus, a record in the history of Las Mayores.

Each team member received a bonus of $477,440.70, a record-breaking $129.1 million. distributed among the 12 participating teams in the 2024 postseason.

This figure far surpassed the previous record of $107.8 million set in 2023, thanks to increased revenue from television rights and box office.

However, the Dodgers’ in-house deal was a little less lucrative for their players. compared to other recent championship teams, such as the Rangers last year.

This is because the Angelenos divided the loot into 79 complete parts and 17.49 partial parts, in addition to allocating $405,000 to special recognitions.

In contrast, the American League champion New York Yankees awarded $354,571.67 to each of his players for 71 complete parts and 16.38 partials.

Teams that did not reach the World Series also secured their share of the pie. The Mets and Guardians, eliminated in the Championship Series, received approximately $15.5 million each, giving individual amounts of $179,948.36 and $182,662.86, respectively.

The formula to determine these prizes considers attendance at games, broadcast rights and the decisions of each team regarding how to divide the fund among its members.

This system ensures that even teams that fall in the early rounds, such as the Atlanta Braves or the Milwaukee Brewers, see financial rewards, although more modest, of $9,547.87 and $10,013.43 for full participation.

Thus, the Dodgers were not only crowned on the field, but also in numbers, reaffirming that the collective effort and decisions in the office have their reward.

These are the amounts that the teams won in the playoffs:

  • Dodgers: $477,440.70 (79)
