Manchester City is going through one of its worst moments in many years. The English team is still unable to get back on track to victory in the UEFA Champions League. Frustration seems to have overwhelmed Pep Guardiola.
In their last Champions League game against Feyenoord, Pep Guardiola’s team let a duel that they were dominated draw. At 53 minutes, Manchester City already won 3-0. However, goals from Anis Hadj-Moussa, Santiago Giménez and Dávid Hancko equalized the scores.
This result is more than frustrating for the players, coach and the Cityzens fans themselves. This would have provoked Guardiola’s reaction. The Spanish coach appeared at the press conference with cuts and scratches on his face.
At the press conference, the former FC Barcelona coach was questioned about the reasons for these injuries. “Hello Pep… Sorry for getting off topic… But it seems like you have a cut.”the journalist questioned. Guardiola responded that his scratches had been caused by himself. “With my fingers, with my nails, like that (…) I wanted to hurt myself.”
Manchester City sunk
According to his own statements, Guardiola would have made these cuts, probably as a result of frustration. Manchester City cannot be that dominant team from a few months ago. Furthermore, in this meeting, He had just been caught by Feyenoord after a 3-0 lead.
Manchester City’s situation is very worrying. The English team is used to dominating all competitions. However, He has fallen into a bad streak from which he has not been able to get out.
There are already six consecutive games without being able to win that Pep Guardiola’s team has: 2-1 vs. Tottenham, 2-1 vs. Bourmemouth, 4-1 vs. Sporting Lisbon, 2-1 vs. Brighton, 0-4 vs. Tottenham and the recent 3-3 draw against Feyenoord.
