Navy in Mexico seizes more than three tons of cocaine worth more than 40 million

The Mexican Navy Secretariat announced the seizure of 75 packages containing white powder with characteristics of cocainesoutheast of Acapulco, Guerrero; in two different actions.

The above was carried out during maritime surveillance patrols by means of Ocean Patrol type vessels.

In a first action, on November 20, 30 beaconed packages weighing approximately 1,554 kilograms were located approximately 180 nautical miles southeast of Acapulco, Guerrero.

In a second action, on November 21, 45 more marked packages weighing approximately 1,786 kilograms were located approximately 170 nautical miles southeast of Acapulco, Guerrero.

After the collection of the substance, the seized drugs were made available to the competent authorities, for the integration of the corresponding research portfolio.

Until October, the Secretary of the Navy in Mexico had secured 11,752 kilos of cocaine in high-risk maritime operations, combating drug trafficking on the high seas.
