The return of Timbiriche, one of the most emblematic bands of the 80s, is just around the corner and promises to be an unforgettable event for their followers. After several rumors and speculation, it was confirmed that the group will return with the participation of Paulina Rubio and all its original members, something that excites both old school fans and new generations who have grown up with their music.
In an exclusive interview for Ventaneando, Mariana Garza, a member of the group, revealed the details of this long-awaited return.
The singer confirmed that rehearsals for the new tour will begin in February 2025, with the aim of offering a show that surpasses everything done on previous occasions. “We want to do something better than what happened last time,” said Garza, reflecting the enthusiasm and commitment with which they face this new chapter of the band.
The tour, which promises to be extensive, will kick off between mid-2025 and early 2026, with dates scheduled in both Mexico and the United States. The latter is key, since some of the members, such as Paulina Rubio and Diego Schoening, reside outside of Mexico, which has required important logistical adjustments to be able to coordinate the tour.
Paulina Rubio, key piece
One of the most exciting moments of this reunion is the inclusion of Paulina Rubio, who has been an essential part of Timbiriche’s history. Although the singer lives in Miami and has a complicated schedule, her participation is confirmed.
According to Garza, the logistics of integrating Rubio into rehearsals and presentations have been a challenge, but they are already working on the details to make this reunion a resounding success.
“That’s why Erik and Benny went, precisely for that. Paulina lives there, her children are there; “Diego is in Houston,” explained Garza, highlighting the effort and coordination between the group members to make the tour possible. The exact dates and details of the concerts in both countries are still being defined, but the excitement for what is to come is evident in each of the members.
The news of Timbiriche’s return has caused a stir among fans, who hope to relive the magic of the 80s and 90s with their greatest hits. Mariana Garza expressed that the group is “very excited” for what is to come, since expectations have always been exceeded in each of their presentations. “We know that our expectations are always exceeded, and surely this time it will be like that too,” he commented.
Regarding the participation of Thalía, another of the founding members, Garza revealed that, although they have not been able to see each other in person due to the recent loss of her sister, they have maintained constant contact. Despite this, it has not been confirmed whether the singer will be on the new tour, although the possibility remains open.
