Shakira returns to voice the character of Gazelle in the animated film Zootopia 2which will premiere on November 26.
This week, The Colombian singer shared the good news through her social networks.
“Gazelle returns to Zootopia 2. That’s right. “Gazelle is back and she has a new look, a new song and, of course, new dance moves,” the singer announced in a video in collaboration with Disney.
In 2016, when the first installment of the animated film directed by Byron Howard and Jared Bush was released, Shakira lent her voice to the character.a gazelle who – like her – is also a pop star.
In the first film Shakira performed the song “Try Everything”, which was the main song.
Zootopia 2whose first installment won the Oscar for best animated film, is set in a world of anthropomorphic animals and stars the rabbit Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and the fox Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman).
Shakira broke a record with “Soltera”
The first week of October, the Colombian singer premiered the video for her new song “Soltera”with which he imposed a new brand on digital platforms.
On October 11, Shakira premiered the video for “Soltera” which in just 24 hours reached 4.5 million viewsmaking it the most viewed premiere of a Latin solo video in 2024.
So far, the video of “Soltera” has accumulated more than 47 million views on YouTube.
The video for “Soltera” was recorded at the exclusive LIV club in Miami, where Shakira appears alongside Winnie Harlow, Anitta, Danna Paola, Lele Pons and Natti Natasha.
The premiere of the video for “Soltera” occurs shortly after Shakira announced the Latin American dates of her tour Women no longer cry world tourwhich has already sold out several dates since tickets went on sale.
