Donald Trump won the United States elections and will return to the White House as the country’s 47th president.
The former president managed to win key states such as Pennsylvania, Georgia and North Carolina that brought him closer to victory.
For her part, her rival, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, has remained silent. His campaign announced that he will speak this Wednesday.
Before his victory was confirmed, the Republican candidate declared himself the winner before an auditorium full of supporters in Palm Beach, Florida.
In his speech, Trump defined what until then were partial recounts as “a magnificent victory for the American people that will allow us to make America great again.”
It also provoked a series of greetings and celebrations from the various leaders of the world.
From Israel, the prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, for what he defined as the “greatest comeback in history”.
“His historic return to the White House offers a new beginning for the United States and a powerful renewal of commitment to the great alliance between Israel and the United States,” Netanyahu announced about a result that he defined as a “great victory.”
On the other hand, the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskypublished an extensive message on his social networks where he described the provisional result as an “impressive electoral victory!”
“We look forward to an era of a strong United States of America under the decisive leadership of President Trump,” wrote the Ukrainian president.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoganwho maintained a good relationship with Donald Trump during his first term, also called his victory “historic.”
“I congratulate my friend Donald Trump,” Erdogan wrote in a message on X.
“In this new period… I hope that relations between Turkey and the United States will strengthen, that regional and global crises and wars, especially the Palestinian issue and the war between Russia and Ukraine, will come to an end; I believe that more efforts will be made for a more just world.”
And he added: “I hope that the elections will be beneficial for our friendly and ally people in the United States and for all humanity.”
In Europe
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer He also joined in congratulating Donald Trump for what he called a “historic electoral victory.”
“I look forward to working with you in the years to come,” he said, adding: “As the closest allies, we stand united in defense of our shared values of freedom, democracy and entrepreneurship.”
“From growth and security to innovation and technology, I know the special relationship between the UK and the US will continue to thrive on both sides of the Atlantic for years to come.”
The president of the government of Spain, Pedro Sánchezalso declared his intention to work with Donald Trump in what he said would be “a strong bilateral and transatlantic alliance.”
“Congratulations Donald Trump on your victory and your election as the 47th president of the United States. We will work on our strategic bilateral relations and on a solid transatlantic alliance,” Sánchez published in X.
Also the president of France, Emmanuel Macronjoined the congratulations in the early hours of Wednesday.
“Ready to work together as we did for four years. With your beliefs and mine. With respect and ambition. For more peace and prosperity,” he wrote.
Likewise, andn Italy, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloniindicated that a Trump victory will strengthen ties between both countries.
In a post on X, Meloni offered his “most sincere congratulations.”
She said Italy and the United States had an “unbreakable alliance” and added: “It is a strategic link, which I am sure we will now strengthen even more,” she said.
In Latin America
Several Latin American leaders also sent messages of congratulations to Trump.
The president of Argentina, Javier Milei, wrote in X: “Congratulations on your formidable electoral victory.” And he added: “Now, Make America Great Again.” “You know that you can count on Argentina to carry out its task.”
“Success and blessings,” Milei declared.
He former president of Brazill Jair Bolsonaro was another Latin American political leader who sent a public greeting to the Republican.
“Thank you, my God. Congratulations, Trump,” Bolsonaro expressed first with a brief message that he later went into greater depth.

More briefly, the president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukelecelebrated the victory of the Republican leader.
“Congratulations to the President-elect of the United States of America, Donald. May God bless you and guide you,” congratulated the president of the Central American country.
Among the Latin American leaders who are on the other side of the political spectrum from Donald Trump, The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro wrote in X:
“The American people have spoken and they are respected. Congratulations to Trump on his victory. The north/south dialogue is still valid and the reality of climate collapse will make me revolve around its solution.”
And he added: “The only way to seal the borders is with the prosperity of the people of the south and the end of the blockades.”
“The progressive possibility in the United States could not applaud the genocide in Gaza,” declared the Colombian president.
In Mexico, President Claudia Sheinbaumsaid in his morning press conference that he will wait until the electoral count is over to issue an official statement about Trump’s victory, but indicated that “there is no reason for concern about these results.”
And he added: “We are a free and sovereign country and there will be a good relationship with the United States. I am convinced of it,” declared Sheinbaum.
And even the president of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, who four days ago publicly declared his support for Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate, sent a message to the president-elect this Wednesday.
“My congratulations to President Donald Trump on his electoral victory and return to the presidency of the United States. “Democracy is the voice of the people and must always be respected,” the Brazilian president wrote in X.
For his part, the President of Chile, Gabriel Borichas remained silent. Despite having public activities during the morning, he did not specifically refer to Trump’s victory, although he noted the political polarization that affects that country and the world. “Just look at what is happening in other latitudes,” said the president.
In any case, the decision of the Chilean government – for now – was to focus the matter on its Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alberto van Klaveren, who recognized that the Republican’s victory “is extremely” clear.
“We believe that it is a really relevant election at all levels. We maintain a state relationship with the United States, relations are between states and we aspire to have the best relationship with President Trump,” added the Chilean foreign minister.
China and NATO
China, which during Trump’s first term maintained a relationship of rivalry on trade, technology and security issues with Washington, he now appears to be maintaining a cautious stance.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning did not mention Trump directly, but reaffirmed Beijing’s interest in maintaining “peaceful coexistence” with the United States.
“We will continue to focus and manage relations between China and the United States based on the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation,” the spokesperson said on Wednesday after Donald Trump was declared the winner of the US presidential election.
And there was also a congratulatory message from NATO, the organization with which Trump had a turbulent relationship in his first term.
Secretary General Mark Rutte stressed that Trump’s return to the White House will help the Alliance remain strong.
“His leadership will once again be a key element in keeping our Alliance strong. “I look forward to working with him to advance peace,” Rutte said in a statement.
