The president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum assured that there is no cause for concern about the triumph of donald trumpRepublican candidate, in the United States electionswhere so far he has won 277 electoral votes, compared to 224 for his Democratic rival Kamala Harris.
The Mexican president said that she will not call the virtual winner of the United States presidential elections until the result of the final count is announced, but she announced that the relationship with the United States will be cordial.
Sheinbaum waits for the final count
“We are going to wait for the official results to make the official statement regarding the United States presidential election,” the president of Mexico advanced.
He also indicated that after Trump’s victory is made official, he will issue a statement and contact the Republican, but for now he assured that Mexico has no reason to worry.
“To all Mexicans: there is no reason for concern. To our countrymen, to Mexican businessmen: there is no reason for concern. “Mexico always moves forward, we are a free, independent, sovereign country,” said President Sheinbaum in her morning conference.
Sheinbaum said that there will be dialogue with the new US government: “That is why I say that there is no cause for concern, but simply when the victory is official we will establish communication and have good relations. Tranquility to the markets, tranquility to everyone and we are going to be very united in this,” he said.
Regarding the deportation threats made In the Trump campaign, the Mexican president indicated that the Mexican government will always provide legal help to its compatriots through the embassy and consulates located in the American Union.
Claudia Sheinbaum reiterated that she will wait for the election count in the United States to finish before issuing an official statement from her government. “As soon as the victory is official, we will establish communication,” he assured.
He indicated that relations between Mexico and the United States will continue to strengthen with the support of businessmen from both countries to continue promoting investments.
“We do not compete, we complement each other,” said the president of Mexico.
