This Tuesday, November 5, there will be presidential elections in the United States. And with that several questions arise: Who will win? When will the new president take office?
Once the results are made public, the winner will begin his transition process to the presidency, with the goal of officially assuming office in January 2025.
This event, known as Presidential Inauguration Day, will be a key moment for the future of the country, and everyone will be looking forward to it.
Presidential Inauguration Day is celebrated every four years on January 20although if that date falls on a Sunday, the ceremony takes place on the 21st.
This important event takes place at the United States Capitol in Washington DC
The next inauguration is scheduled for January 20, 2025.
In this ceremony, the new president will officially take office and begin his term, and it will be Kamala Harris or Donald Trump who will occupy that position, depending on the results of the vote.
What happens during the Induction Ceremony
The Inauguration Ceremony takes place on January 20 and is led by the Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court.
During this ceremony, the vice president’s oath is taken first, followed by that of the president-elect. At the conclusion of the swearing-in, the new president will offer his inaugural speech.
