Donald Trump declares himself victorious in the 2024 elections

The former president donald trump won the presidency of the United States in the 2024 electionssecuring a second term nearly four years after leaving the White House.

His followers are celebrating at the headquarters in Palm Beach, Florida, where the former president gave a speech on election night.

Trump thanked those present for their support and said in his speech: “This is a moment like no one has seen before.”

“I think it is the greatest political movement of all time. There has never been anything like this in this country, and maybe now it reaches a level of importance, because we are going to help our country heal. Help our country heal. We have a country that needs help, and it needs it urgently. We are going to fix our borders; We are going to fix everything related to our country…¨And we have made history tonight for a reason… simply that we overcame obstacles that no one thought possible.”

This will be the golden age of America.”

Trump declared himself the winner of the popular vote as well: “We have also won the popular vote.”

“It is a political victory that our country has never seen before, nothing like this. “I want to thank the American people for the extraordinary honor of being elected their 47th President and their 45th President.”

Trump said tonight that his campaign “overcame obstacles” in his bid to reach the White House.

“We overcame obstacles that no one thought possible, and now it is clear that we have achieved the most incredible thing politically: look what happened, is it crazy?” Trump told a crowd of supporters in West Palm Beach, Florida.

“I think we just saw the greatest political comeback in the history of the United States of America,” Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, Trump’s running mate, said during Trump’s remarks.

After Vance spoke, Trump responded that the senator “turned out to be a good choice” as his running mate.

“We have taken back control of the Senate,” Trump said to cheers.

He also thanked the president of the House of Representatives, Michael Johnsonwho was among those who accompanied Trump on stage in Florida. Trump predicted that Republicans would maintain control of the House of Representatives.

At the end of his speech, Trump said: “It is time to leave behind the divisions of the past four years. It’s time to unite and we’re going to try, we’re going to try, we have to try, and it’s going to happen, I can see it, I can see it, I saw it the first time…. “Success is going to unite us.”

Trump obtained the 270 electoral votes necessary to win the White House after a roughly 100-day campaign between him and Kamala Harris, with polls in seven key battleground states showing very little separation between the two candidates until election day.

Trump defeated Vice President Harris in an election in which a series of unexpected events: a criminal trial involving Trump during the campaign, two assassination attempts against the former president and a change in the Democratic ticket after President Biden withdrew from the election race.

Kamala Harris canceled a planned appearance at Howard University on Tuesday nightand his campaign said he will address the country on Wednesday.
