This has been Ángela Aguilar’s year, for good and bad. The name of Pepe Aguilar’s daughter has dominated media headlines throughout the region, which is why she was named “Woman of the Year” by the magazine Glamor.
Beyond the controversies, Ángela was named “Woman of the Year”, along with other Mexican artists, for breaking barriers and his contributions that inspired the audience.
After being honored by the magazine GlamorÁngela said that she feels undeserving of recognition. “I don’t understand why they considered me. Going from a child to a young adult is a process, and I think I’m still on the path to knowing who I am. However, that is also part of being a woman: learning who you are and discovering your feminine power and your divine feminine energy,” the singer told the magazine.
Ángela Aguilar was named “Woman of the Year” along with Dulce María, Macarena García, Galilea Montijo, Mabel Cadena and Bu Cuarón, something that makes her proud.
“It is very nice to be in the same conversation as so many women I have admired.. “It is also important to recognize that being an inspiring woman is essential, and that is part of why we strive to select women who motivate us and who deserve to be recognized,” she said.
The recognition of Ángela generated divided opinions: those who defend Christina Nodal’s wife and those who assure that she does not deserve the distinction.
“A lot of surname and few values, Ángela does not deserve that award”, “Ángela Aguilar woman of the year? Hahaha it seems sarcasm”, “Magazine joke to consider the most hated person of the moment”, “Ángela Aguilar does not represent women”, are some of the comments on the Instagram publication of Glamor.
