Through a guaranteed income program, low-income families in Sacramento, California will receive a stimulus check in order to address economic inequalities and provide financial relief to households currently struggling with inflation.
According to the entity’s statement, it is estimated that Selected families receive about $725 dollars for 12 monthsAlthough it is an economic stimulus that seeks to cover low-income households, to qualify they must meet certain requirements such as:
- Residing in the following zip codes (95815, 95821, 95823, 95825, 95828 and 95838) within Sacramento, California.
- Have an income limit less than 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL).
- They must have at least one dependent under the age of 5 in the home, since the program prioritizes children’s expenses and needs.
- Families that apply cannot be receiving other financial aid from guaranteed income programs.
The programs that distribute stimulus checks in the state seek to reduce not only economic disparities, but also promote family well-being with social support that promotes and generates a positive impact on the social environment.
