After her successful album ‘Mañana will be nice’, the Colombian launched collaborations with other artists with her song ‘No me cansaré’ with the Iranian Svdaliza, in addition to her summer hit ‘Si Antiguo TE Hubiera Conocido’.
Taking advantage of the rise of Colombian music internationally, the 33-year-old artist is preparing for one of her most ambitious collaborations to date: He will join J Balvin and other reggaeton stars.
In a short clip shared on his official TikTok account, Karol G was seen dancing to her next single, which will feature the voices of renowned Colombian performers, including J Balvin, Maluma, Ryan Castro, Blessd and her current partner, Feid.
The audiovisual material generated great expectation among his followers and reggaetón fans.
A song with pure Colombian talent
The video not only features Karol G, but also features producer Ovy On The Drums, who mentions other collaborators such as DFZM and Keityn.
This song promises to be a true tribute to Colombian music and reggaeton in general, although details about its release and the narrative it will address are still unknown.
The reactions on social networks have not been long in coming. Many users have expressed their enthusiasm for seeing such iconic Colombian artists brought together in a single song, highlighting comments such as:
“He literally brought together all of Colombian reggaeton in one song” and “the house fell, get that out quickly.” However, not all the comments have been positive.
Some fans have lamented the absence of artists like Farina and Reykon, and have pointed out the lack of participation from Shakira or another Colombian female singer, this to make the single more inclusive.
Before this announcement, Spotify revealed that Karol G is positioned as the most listened to Latin female artist in the world, accumulating more than 6 billion views. His most listened to singles are ‘If Before You Had Known’, ‘QLONA’, with Peso Pluma, and ‘Amargura’.
