Republican presidential candidate followed through on his threat to sue the television network C.B.S. for, allegedly, having broadcast the edited interview that the program “60 minutes” he performed, to earlier this month, to the acting vice president Kamala Harris, only her claims are stratospheric.
Donald Trump believes that the material disseminated with the statements of the Californian Democrat harms his campaign, since they were not presented as they flowed during the talk, which implies content manipulation, since several decisive fragments for citizens would have been excluded. I could know her as she really is.
Based on this, the conservative politician’s legal team went to a federal court in the city of Amarillo, Texas, located in the Northern District of said state.
Through a lawsuit $10 billion dollars in damages caused to Donald Trump’s campaign are demanded.
And as alleged evidence to demonstrate the editing of the Kamala Harris interview, The New York tycoon’s lawyers show that in the complete transcript of the interview with Kamala Harris the answer to a question that was not broadcast on the program “60 minutes” appears.
“To cover up Kamala’s weakness in the ‘word salad,’ C.B.S. used his national platform on 60 Minutes to walk the line between exercising judgment in reporting and misleading and deceitful manipulation of the news. Partisan and illegal acts of electoral and voter interference through malicious, misleading and substantial news distortions,” indicates part of the legal complaint.
In response to the lawsuit filed against him, a spokesperson for C.B.S. he told the newspaper The Hill that Donald Trump’s accusations are unfounded and there will be a legal response to this.
“The interview was not manipulated and 60 Minutes did not hide any part of the vice president’s response to the question in question. 60 Minutes presented the interview fairly to inform the audience and not to mislead them.
The lawsuit that Trump has filed against C.B.S. “It is completely baseless and we will vigorously defend ourselves against it,” he said.
